Choosing the Right Course to Study in Romania

Romania offers wide range of academic programmes. It assures quality of education and transparency of study programmes. Romanian higher education qualifications are recognised in Europe and beyond. To choose the right study programme, one must adhere to the below mentioned steps:

Find out and discover your interest area. Once you have known what you want to do- the course/programme and field, start researching about the same. Research about the course of study or field and the universities offering that particular course. Check the official website of the higher education institutions shortlisted. Know about the admission requirements and procedure, course structure, subjects offered, dates and deadlines.  

Visit the campus of the respective higher education institutions. Meet the students on campus, talk to them and the faculty as well to know more about the institution, programme, admissions, scholarships, and other related things. Clear all your doubts!

After researching about the institution and the course, make a final decision. While taking a final call, consider the following things: your interest area and future plans, affordability, funds, distance, and level of immersion.  

Then apply!

Students must have completed secondary education in order to gain admittance to an undergraduate program, i.e. they must hold a high school diploma.

Students must have completed an undergraduate university education in order to apply for graduate studies in Romania.

Students must have completed their undergraduate and graduate education to be eligible for doctoral studies.

After you have applied to the institution of your choice, and apply for scholarships if selected. Students who receive the university acceptance letter can apply for scholarships. After you have received the university acceptance letter, apply for student visa. Compile all the required documents like application form, proof of financial resources, copy of passport, photos, university acceptance letter (admission letter), and so on. Apply for the student visa at your nearest Romania embassy/consulate.
